Type 1 Ambulance Benefits

Are you concerned about easy access to engine components? Do you have a need for a little extra front end protection? The 1 ton or 1-1/2 ton Type 1 ambulance may be your best choice. This type of ambulance is easily maintained, providing you with extra protection in the chassis with a pass through window, crawl thru or walk thru designs.

Ford offers both the F350 and F450 with their exclusive high output turbocharged 6.0 Liter (325 horsepower) diesel engine. This high torque power plant and beefed up transmission is an improvement over the 7.3 Liter Power Stroke with quicker acceleration, higher top end speed plus more solid shifting.

If you prefer Chevrolet or GMC gasoline and diesel chassis are available. General Motors "Duramax Diesel provides you a minimum of 300 horsepower plus with the proven extra heavy duty Allison automatic transmission you can't go wrong.

Upgrades to all models include LED lights, high capacity air conditioners/heaters, 110 volt generator power plants with converters, 12 volt electrical load managers, upgraded shock absorbers and special air suspension systems with dump valves for easy stretcher loading. Enhanced insulation packages as well as our high strength (7X safety factor vs plywood) aluminum cabinetry/squadbench are some of our most popular enhancements.

Yes we cost a little more but in the event of an accident aren't you worth it? The safe Marque Type 2 provides you with compact size plus low initial cost. When more protection than just a plywood bulkhead cabinets is important to you, our Type 2 is your best choice.

Do you provide non emergency transfer ambulance services? If so do you know that we provide the only front bulkhead in the patient compartment/driver's compartment constructed of high strength aluminum (you won't find this important benefit in the other guys ambulances- KKK-A-1822 safety criteria should not be your only consideration when purchasing a new ambulance- minimal Federal Government Safety Standards).

Another Marque exclusive is the side impact protection beam provided on the wall behind the squad bench for EMT enhanced safety. This extra strength helps to prevent side wall collapse in a side collision and provide additional protection to the squad bench occupants.

Easy to clean interiors are provided with rounded corners for safety. A low amperage electrical system is included on each vehicle for dependability. The Type 2 is maneuverable in heavy traffic and urban areas available in Ford 6.8 Liter gasoline chassis.

Chevrolet and Dodge Type 2 Van Chassis are not available at this time from the chassis manufacturer since they do not meet Federal Guidelines for ambulance construction at this time (2/15/2010 please call for details).

Type 3 Ambulance Benefits

The Type 3 ambulance design is the smoothest ride of all vehicles, extra length patient compartment is available on Ford E-450 chassis. Available in Ford E-350 dual rear wheel chassis with gasoline engine. The Ford E-450 super duty chassis is designed for very low operating cost is complete with the Ford gasoline engine.

Chevrolet G3500 and G4500 series is also a very popular combination if you desire extremely low operating cost per mile. Some of our customers have experienced over 250,000 miles per chassis with proper maintenance and so can you.

*CHICAGO, March 3, 2009 - A revised Ford E-Series Super Duty� Ambulance package for 2010 - featuring a proven 6.8-liter gasoline engine, a comprehensive array of heavy-duty components and a lower base model costs - will be unveiled today at the National Truck Equipment Association (NTEA) trade show.

"The E-Series Super Duty has been the historical market leader in the ambulance segment," said Derrick Kuzak, group vice president of Global Product Development. "Listening to our private fleet and municipal customers, we're seeing demand for a rugged, powerful ambulance - running on comparatively less expensive gasoline - at a lower initial acquisition cost."

Powerful and Responsive
The 2010 E-Series Super Duty gas Ambulance Prep Package features a powerful, responsive and fuel efficient 6.8-liter Triton� V-10 engine. This proven powerhouse delivers 305 horsepower and 420 ft.-lbs. of torque for responsive acceleration in critical emergency run situations.

This engine is mated to a 5R110W five-speed automatic overdrive transmission. Several rear axle ratios are available to meet diverse regional needs, such as higher altitudes. Large diameter 13.58-inch disc brakes and Anti-lock Brake System (ABS) behind all four wheels will bring the E-Series to a smooth stop.

Built Ford Tough
The 2010 E-Series Super Duty Ambulance Prep Package features a comprehensive array of heavy-duty components specifically developed to meet the extreme service needs of ambulance use, including:

Available limited slip rear axle

The lower weight of the gasoline engine provides almost 600 pounds of additional payload capacity.
